Pizza Amore - Moonwalk, Paranaque

So I know I've been a bit lazy in posting new stuff, been trying to catch up on some much needed sleep these past few weeks. Fortunately, the hubby and I found ourselves starving for Italian Food after a Sunday all-day sleep marathon. And though too lazy to get out of bed, we miraculously got ourselves dressed and dragged our lazy butts to head on over to Pizza Amore - a humble looking pizza joint we've been meaning to try since we moved down South.

The interiors of the place is simple and straightforward, a large Menu Board,  a counter with stools, tables and chairs, and your obligatory pizza condiments.

But the menu packs a punch with a wide variety of Pizza flavors, Pasta, Paninis and Appetizers to choose from. They even serve frappes and coffee for those looking for a caffeine fix and beer for those who'd rather get buzzed.

My hubby and I got their Group Meal 1 which consists of: 1 18" Pizza (choice of Margherita, Pepperoni, Hawaiian or White Pizza), 1 Pancetta Pasta, Mojos and 1.5L Coke. The waiter asked how many of us were dining and I had to sheepishly say just us 2. Yes, we were THAT hungry.

The price at Php 999.00, is definitely a steal since once the food arrived I immediately realized they weren't kidding when they said Group Meal.

The Mojos were quite good, plus they didn't skimp on it. It's probably not comparable to Shakey's Mojos but it's definitely in a class of its own. They weren't as oily as I thought they would be and the salted breadcrumb coating paired with the thousand island dressing it came with makes for a delightful pair.

As for the Pancetta Pasta, I wouldn't say it was extraordinary but it was hearty and rich. The tangy taste  of the sauce together with the saltiness of the pancetta more than hit the spot and this pasta alone almost left us full but of course we're always going to make room for Pizza.

I would have wanted to sample Pizza Amore's White Pizza but will have to on a separate visit since my hubby being the carnivore that he is decided on getting Pepperoni instead. And thankfully, Pizza Amore's Classic Pepperoni Pizza did not disappoint. The generous toppings of pepperoni and cheese on their thin crust dough certainly upped the ante on this classic Pizza flavor.

My only complain is that the pizza wasn't as warm as I would've wanted it when it was served. Later on though when we took home some of the leftovers and got to heat it properly, I definitely enjoyed the pizza more.

So what's my verdict on Pizza Amore? I wouldn't say it was love at first bite but I can definitely say I'm infatuated. And who wouldn't be with their generous servings? Next time, I am definitely trying the White Pizza and their Chicken Alfredo and perhaps a Frappe. Just thinking about it is enough to make my mouth water. Hmmm, yummeh!
